Term Life America Insurance
is proud to offer U.S. Financial Life
Insurance.
Solid resources backed by a combination of innovative products and
service beyond expectations.
U.S. Financial Life, believes that every person who applies
for life insurance is unique.
We've
revolutionized life insurance with our innovative underwriting
approach known industry-wide as Clinical Underwriting®. This
approach enables our underwriters to carefully evaluate you as
an individual by reviewing your health history. If you're
following doctor's orders to control your health condition (s)
and have a good family medical history, you will likely benefit
from our individualized Clinical Underwriting® process. By
consulting internationally recognized medical specialists and
reviewing the latest medical findings pertaining to your health
history, we can often accept applicants who are rejected or
offered more expensive coverage by other companies.
Even if you smoke cigarettes (or use other nicotine products) on an
occasional basis, you could benefit from Clinical Underwriting®.
By evaluating your individual history more thoroughly, we're
able to hone in on your nicotine use and assess your risk
accordingly.
Recognized Results
As a recognized industry leader, we hold the
same industry rating "A Excellent" as our parent company, The
MONY Group, for the current rating year 2002. Our "A Excellent"
rating comes from A.M. Best--the nation's oldest and most
recognized insurance rating organization. After reviewing our
financial statements, A.M. Best reports that "U.S. Financial
Life is fiscally responsible and its management practices are
sound and conservative."
Building on a Great
Foundation
U.S. Financial Life is a wholly-owned
subsidiary of The MONY Group, a 157-year old company with more
than $24 billion in assets and more than $86 billion of
insurance in-force. Along with our prestigious MONY affiliation,
the USFL culture is grounded in the highest ethical standards,
and throughout our history we have been recognized for integrity
in dealing with customers and prospective customers.
The Story Behind Our
Commitment
U.S. Financial Life began
in 1974 in Michigan as Associated General Life Company. In 1984,
we changed our name to Amerisure Life
Insurance Company. Six years later, we became U.S. Financial
Life Insurance Company and moved our headquarters to our current
location in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Our dedication to those
individuals with health-histories, our strong support of the
more than 250 General Agents who write and sell our life
insurance policies and our concern for the welfare and growth of
our own employees have helped us build our company. Since 1990,
USFL has grown from eight employees to more than 150, and sales
have grown 1300%.
Just as we
continually update medical information to keep current on
breakthroughs and innovations that are key to Clinical
Underwriting®, we continue to improve ourselves. USFL has
established a strong and unwavering foundation in the life
insurance marketplace. On that foundation, we are building the
life insurance company of the future.

Developed in 1990, the
Clinical Underwriting® process uses the most current medical
research to evaluate applicants individually,
focusing on the elements
that truly affect a person's longevity, such as lifestyle,
family and medical history and compliance with doctors' orders.
This
unique method of underwriting allows U.S. Financial Life to
offer applicants who have been rated or declined by other
insurance companies some of the best rates in the industry.
There are four key
factors that are the basis of Clinical Underwriting:
Control
–
Is the health impairment controllable?
Compliance
–
Is the applicant following doctors' orders and making lifestyle
adjustments?
Family History
–
What is the applicant's family health history?
Complete Medical
Information –
Does the applicant take advantage of good medical care and does
USFL have all pertinent information?
Nicotine Use
Clinical Underwriting also features a revolutionary approach to
occasional cigarette smokers. Common sense dictates that a
person who smokes occasionally is at far less risk than a person
who smokes heavily. Clinical Underwriting recognizes those
differences and evaluates each individual accordingly.
Medical Breakthroughs
Medical breakthroughs occur
daily, yet current life insurance practices employed by many
insurance companies ignore these advances. Other insurance
companies may deny applicants coverage based on medical
information from an outdated underwriting manual. U.S. Financial
Life is continuously reviewing the most recent medical
literature. This state of the art research is then utilized to
provide a more informed and accurate offer.
