History and Purpose

North American Company for Life & Health Insurance of New York ("North American") was founded in 1959 as North American Accident Insurance Company. Since adopting its current name in 1981, North American's specific mission has been to provide high quality life insurance products to residents of New York.

Term Life Insurance

Term insurance is generally the least expensive and least complicated type of life insurance. It provides insurance protection at a low cost for a specified period of time, such 10, 15, 20 or 30 years. At the end of the term, protection can be renewed, although rates may then increase.
